7 THINGS TO BRING TO A BRIDAL SAMPLE SALE
Here are seven things that brides should consider bringing with them to any bridal sample sale.
1. Nude undergarments
One of the number one questions that brides ask for any bridal appointment is “What undergarments should I wear?” For any bridal appointment, including during a bridal sample sale, we suggest wearing nude undergarments. For your bra, we suggest wearing a strapless bra or bringing one along with you, in case you try on any strapless options! Many brides end up trying dresses on without a bra on, especially dresses with an open back or convertible detailing. This is completely up to you, though! We suggest that you wear anything that makes you feel comfortable and confident.
2. A few trusted family members/friends
We also suggest that you bring a few trusted family members and/or friends with you to your appointment. One of the biggest mistakes that brides make during sample sales is to not bring any guests. Just because it’s a sample sale, doesn’t mean that it’s not special! It is very possible that you will find your dress during your appointment. You want to make sure that the people who are most important to you are there with you! Besides, an appointment during our Black Friday sale doesn’t feel like the sample sale appointments that you may have seen on TV. It is not rushed or informal. Our Black Friday sale appointments are just as special and intimate as the rest of our appointments! During your appointment, you will get a private bridal suite for you and your guests. You will also work one-on-one with a personal bridal stylist throughout your entire appointment!
3. Water/food
If you have an appointment here at K&B Bridals, we do provide you with water and treats. However, we do encourage you to bring any drinks or food that you’d like to! For example, you can bring along a charcuterie board for everyone to enjoy together as you celebrate!
4. Inspiration photos
We highly suggest sending us inspiration pictures before your appointment so that we have an idea of what you’re looking for before you even set foot inside our doors. However, we suggest having them ready to look at on your phone while you’re here, too! This will help to give your bridal stylist an idea of what you’re looking for, and you will also have the photos to reference throughout your appointment. But remember you may end up falling in love with a dress that is the complete opposite of what you thought you were looking for! Keep an open mind!
5. A budget in mind
We highly suggest that our brides have a budget in mind during any appointment. This will help your stylist know which dresses will be off-limits to even show you. You don’t want to end up falling in love with a dress, and then realize that the price tag is much higher than what you are willing to spend! When you know how much you’re willing to spend, it also allows you to have some control over the dresses that you try on.
6. Hair tie
This may seem like a minor detail, but don’t forget to bring a hair tie! You may want to see how your hair would look pulled back with certain dresses, but prefer your hair down for other dresses. A hair tie is crucial for this!
7. A positive attitude
Finally, this may go without saying, but we highly recommend having a positive attitude. Go into the appointment feeling confident that you are going to find your dress! If you have the mindset that you won’t, then you’re going to find something wrong with every single dress that you try on. Going along with this, have an open mind! Try on styles that you aren’t sure about. You’ll be surprised that you love the way a dress looks on you that you weren’t a fan of on the hanger!
