How To Shop A Sample Sale

by | Jun 14, 2021

Have you heard the great news? We are having our biggest sale of the year from July 9-18, 2021! Our National Bridal Sale Event is an annual event that is a great chance to get your dream, designer dress for a more affordable price. If you’re a bride, you may not even know what this sale means, so today we’re going to cover all of our tips for shopping it!

WHAT IS A SAMPLE SALE?

Truthfully, we don’t like calling these events a sample sale, because they tend to have a negative connotation by some brides. However, they are what brides most widely know these sales by, so we know it’s important to still use the term so that brides can find out about them!

A sample sale is when a bridal shop puts their in-stock gowns at a steep discount to sell them directly to brides. This means that the bride will purchase the sample gown directly off of the bridal shop’s floor, and take it home with her that day!

However, this does not mean that these gowns are “leftovers” or outdated. They are simply on sale to make room in the shop for brand new collections, but the gowns are in amazing shape and there’s nothing wrong with them! They just may need some alterations and cleaning.

WHAT DOES OUR SAMPLE SALE INCLUDE?

So, what does our July National Bridal Sale Event include?:

  • All in-stock gowns 20-40% off
  • Already reduced gowns an additional 50% off
  • Veils priced at $25, $50, $75
  • Clearance formalwear section priced at $39.99
  • A FREE bride beach hat to the first 10 brides who purchase during the sale

OUR TIPS FOR SHOPPING A SAMPLE SALE

Here are all of our tips for shopping a sample sale!

Tip #1: Keep an open mind

When you go into a sample sale, it’s important to keep an open mind! While it is a good idea to have some sort of vision for what you’re looking for, it’s still important to be open to different dresses. You never know what you could find; a sample sale is like a gold mine in the bridal world!

Tip #2: Book as early as possible

We recommend booking your appointment as soon as you know that you want to join a sample sale. We also recommend booking your appointment as early as you can during the sale! There are two reasons for this. One is that sample sales, and really any sort of bridal shop event, tend to fill up early. You don’t want to miss out on getting an appointment!

Now, why do you want to book your appointment as early as possible during the sale? The earlier that your appointment is, the wider selection of dresses that you’ll have to choose from! As the sale goes on, more and more dresses will be bought by brides.

Tip #3: Have a budget in mind

It’s SO important to have a budget in mind whenever you are wedding dress shopping. You never want to try on a gown that is out of your price range… you risk falling in love with it and not being able to have it!

Tip #4: Keep the entourage to a minimum

We recommend limiting the amount of people that you bring to an appointment with you to 2-4 people. The more people that you bring, the more conflicting opinions you are inviting into the appointment. Keep the people that you bring with you limited to only those that you know will fully support your choices!

Tip #5: Look for your dream dress, not your dream price tag

Even though a sample sale is a great way to find a wedding dress at a great price, keep in mind that you only get married once. You still want to find your dream dress! It’s important to be completely in love with your dress, not just the price tag!
