The best way to understand a collection is to listen to the designer. Of her dresses, Sophia Tolli says, My collection has two distinct feelings: soft romanticism and traditional bridal drama. My signature style will always be gowns with an exceptional fit and cut. With her, we agree. That is why on June 29th to July 1st, we’ll be having a Sophia Tolli trunk show and you and all your friends are invited! Sophia is for the classic bride, the bride whose perfect dream dress has never wavered in her imagination. Classic shapes shapes and eye-catching details combine with the airy lightness that seem a signature of Aussie designers. They’re draped to flatter all body shapes, and a signature design detail are her corset backs which bring any gown to an almost-perfect fit, even before alterations. The dresses also often come with a different back style if corsets aren’t for you. Walking the line between romantic vision and all eyes on you drama has never been easier than with Sophia Tolli dresses! Sophia Tolli is coming to K&B and we are celebrating with a launch event! Come in to K&B for a chance to try on these gorgeous gowns in your own private fitting room and your own dedicated stylist. We’re getting in tons of Sophia dresses for the occasion, so don’t miss out! Before that, though, we’re super hyped to feature five of the dresses which will be arriving at the shop shortly!
Sophia Tolli Style Gem
First off, we have Gem. That’s exactly how it would feel to wear a gown like this. Wear it as pictured in nude and lace, or in all ivory. The slight angle in the straps flatters all shoulders while the side ruching keeps the visual of a fitted waist while retaining a comfy jersey fit. Wear this gown with sparkles to balance out the lace, or with a simple veil for an even more bridal feel. Captivating and high fashion, Gem truly lives up to its name.
Sophia Tolli Style Peridot
Halter necklines have become more popular in recent years, but never like this. With a lace applique bodice and a tulle layered skirt, Peridot evokes a a more romantic feel than many of the halter gowns. In the back, the gown has a lace racer back which adds visual interest as it flows smoothly into two vertical appliques that run the length of the dress to create a lengthening effect as you move down the aisle. Accessorize this gown with loose curls and a wildflower bouquet for an ethereal look or dial up the romance with a sparkly hair clip and a bunch of pastel roses. Either way, you’ll be the most beautiful bride!
Sophia Tolli Style Tanzanite
If you’ve read our post on bridal trends, you’ll know that black accessories and decorations are rumored to be entirely in vogue this season, but that’s on the runway. What about real life? IRL, wearing a black-edged wedding gown, while entirely avant-garde, is not for everyone. Have you thought, however, of blue? Long considered a bridal color, this showstopping ballgown sprinkles hints of blue flowers throughout the bodice and skirt for a subtle yet totally fresh look. Tanzanite is available in a variety of different colors. See the ivory/ivory here. Cut from fantasy organza and airy tulle, this sleeveless gown offers a deep plunge neckline, sweetheart bodice and natural waist that combined with the full skirt creates the ultimate princess look. Play up the color with a trailing bouquet of lavender or keep it classic with all white flowers. This is a gown your guests will talk about for years!
Sophia Tolli Style Kyanite
Opulent and refined, Kyanite summons images of the glam twenties without losing its modern touch. Fitted through the hip, the beaded bodice flares into clean tulle so that all eyes will be on your beautiful face. With hand beaded straps and a sweetheart neckline, Kyanite will keep you feeling secure as you dance the night away.Perfect for the brides who want a touch of vintage glamour for their modern wedding, Kyanite perfectly re-imagines classic romance.
Sophia Tolli Style Almandine
With Almandine Sophia hits a more bohemian note without sacrificing the romance. Delicate yet alluring, Almandine’s soft chiffon skirt will stay light all night. The gathering at the front adds a cool edge. Looking for a little more sparkle? Add a pearl necklace, or some eye-catching earrings. Although it’s hard to tell from the photos, Almandine is unlined for a seductive reception look. For the ceremony, though, it comes with an optional lining for the bodice. The corset back will keep you secure despite the strapless nature. If you’d prefer a zipper back, you can get that! Almadine is the ultimate no worries dress.
