5 FALL DATE NIGHT IDEAS IN (OR NEAR) HARFORD COUNTY, MD
Here are our top five fall date night ideas around Harford County, Maryland during 2020!
1. Visit a pumpkin patch/corn maze/hayride
Photo credit: Jessica Malick One of the most popular fall date night ideas is to go to a pumpkin patch, corn maze, or go on a hayride. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a place that offers all three! One local suggestion that we have is MaizeQuest. It’s located just over the PA border in New Park. It’s about a 35 minute drive from downtown Bel Air. While MaizeQuest seems like a place just for kids on the surface, it’s definitely not! You’ll have a blast going through the corn maze as a couple, and enjoying an apple cider slushy once you conquer it. There’s also a pick-your-own apple orchard, a hayride that takes you to a pumpkin patch, and a farm market/winery on the premises! Another local option is Weber’s Cider Mill Farm, Inc. Weber’s is located in Parkville, MD and is a 30 minute drive from downtown Bel Air. Weber’s has Fall Harvest Days throughout early November, which include: pumpkins, a cider mill, caramel apples, fresh cider & donuts, kettle corn, food trucks, a bakery & ice cream, and a pick-your-own at Peachberry Farm. The hayride isn’t operating this year due to COVID, but they also offer that during a “normal” year!
2. Go to a local coffee shop for a pumpkin spice latte

Now, you don’t have to get a pumpkin spice latte… there are plenty of options at coffee shops! Starbucks and Dunkin’ are always options, but we prefer to shop locally. Coffee Coffee is an excellent place for a coffee date. It’s located in the Festival Shopping Center in Bel Air and is a family-run coffee shop. They offer coffees, teas, espressos, cold drinks, frozen drinks, breakfast, salads, sandwiches, and more. Another option is ZVault, which is on Main Street in Bel Air right down the road from us at K&B! They are all about quality and guilt-free beverages. They offer teas, smoothies, coffee, juice, oatmeal, salads, wraps, sandwiches, pastries, and more.
3. Have a pumpkin carving competition

There are so many inspiration photos on Pinterest. You could even do wedding-themed pumpkin carvings in honor of being engaged! 4. Visit a local brewery

One local option is Independent Brewing Co., which is on Main Street in Bel Air. They have a large taproom and patio and are bicycle-friendly and family-friendly and welcome well-behaved dogs! They have 26 rotating taps of small batch artisanal taps and ciders, many of which are brewed with locally grown ingredients! Plus, they have a rotating calendar of food trucks on the premises! Not a drinker? They offer craft sodas, organic juices, and other non-alcoholic beverages, too! Another local option is Hopkins Farm Brewery in Havre De Grace. They constantly have events happening, so be sure to check their website or Facebook page to see what they have coming up! Most of their events feature food trucks and live music.
5. Have a candle pouring night to create fall scents
